Greetings Cedar Grove High School Community: 

It is with the greatest pleasure that I introduce myself as the interim principal of Cedar Grove High School. For the past five years, I have served in the roles of academic coach and assistant principal.  Having the ability to build solid relationships with teachers, staff, parents, and students is extremely gratifying.  I am confident in my ability to lead Cedar Grove with bold and purposeful vision toward this year’s district theme, New Levels and New Heights! 

As an educator with twenty years of experience, I take great pride in the positive difference that I have made in Dekalb, Clayton, and Atlanta Public Schools.  Through clear and consistent communication, I will work tirelessly to ensure that every voice is heard.  Maintaining a collective vision with all stakeholders will strengthen partnerships and student outcomes in our school.   

At Cedar Grove High School, my primary goal is to create a safe learning environment where all students are empowered to reach their full potential. I strongly believe in meeting students’ academic and social-emotional needs to help them evolve as productive citizens in society. Together, we will work towards building and maintaining an inclusive, supportive, and academically challenging environment that will maximize student achievement. 

I am also committed to upholding the rich traditions and values that make Cedar Grove High School unique.  Using the foundation of past strengths along with innovative practices will propel our school toward an even brighter future. I look forward to working closely with our teachers, staff, parents, community partners, and students to continue the legacy of excellence for which we are known.   

As we prepare for this new journey together, I welcome your input and your active participation. Let’s collaborate to ensure that this school year is one of positivity, growth, and achievement for all.  I am excited to work with each of you because with your support, Cedar Grove is destined for greatness!
