Cedar Grove High School is located in south DeKalb County at 2360 River Road, Ellenwood, Georgia 30294. Cedar Grove High opened in the fall of 1972 with an enrollment of 512 students. Located in rural South DeKalb County, the enrollment has fluctuated over the years with the development of the surrounding area. In 1993, with the resurgence of housing developments in the area, enrollment began to increase by large increments.
Cedar Grove has six computer labs - one writing composition lab, one math/science lab, three business labs and a STEM lab. In addition to the labs, there is a teacher computer and interactive whiteboard in each classroom which are networked with internet access.
The mission of Cedar Grove High School is to create a school culture wherein all students are committed to doing what it takes to graduate on time, to advance to the next level of their choice successfully where they will be productive, competitive, and lifelong learners; all teachers will collaborate in a professional learning community to plan and teach standards based, data driven, rigorous and relevant lessons that result in learning. The goal of Cedar Grove High School is to be one of the top achieving schools in the DeKalb County School District.
